Nima runner woven in western Persia inA 1930s Hamadan rug from northwest Persia. Birds (our favourite is the stripy one), animals and fish surround the central pole medallion on a dark blue ground. Borders feature red, mid blue, cafe au lait, pale green and a tiny bit of pale yellow. Selvedges are threadbare, some loss to ends but otherwise intact and in good condition for its age. 188 x 107cm
