Rōketsuzome Noren - Green & Black onlypreorder an art director and graphicIntroducing a new noren series featuring the rketsuzome style of dyeing with wax and water. These abstract patterns are created by first dipping the linen in wax, crinkling it underwater after it hardens, and allowing dye to settle in the disruptions of the wax coating. The technique is a specialty of Kyoto, where there is a 1,200 year history of rketsuzome dyeing. Due to the nature of the dyeing process, each piece is one of a kind. Enjoy rketsuzome
