The case is a stunning piece of craftsmanship, with fine gold threads woven together (like fabric) with raised sections creating a paisley pattern. The top part of the comb is also crafted in woven gold this time a rope design with a white gold tassel head set with 22 eight cut diamonds, leading to a frayed tassel. The comb is signed Tiffany & Co. Paris. with French hallmarks.
