Finale (The Dargason): Allegro (arranged from the "Fantasia on the Dargason" from his Second Suite in F for Military Band)

The music of Samuel Scheidt is a beautiful fit for modern Brass instruments and Keith Terrett has done a magnificent job with this arrangement which can be performed by moderately advanced performers

Mendelssohn - Two Sacred Choruses, Op. 115 for 9-part Brass Ensemble String Finale (The Dargason): Allegro (arrangedTwo beautiful Choruses by transcribed by Seattle Symphony Trumpeter, Geoffrey Bergler. The music is of intermediate level and has great sonorous qualities, wonderful for the middle of a Brass Ensemble concert. The first movement, Beati Mortui is slow and sustained and the second movement, Periti Autem is an Allegro movement in a more declamatory style. Instrumentation is for 3 Trumpets in B flat, 2 Horns, 3 Trombones and Tuba. Free pdf Sample
